Unveiling of Our Clean Birth kits – A huge success
As part of our efforts to improve Maternal and new born health in Nigeria, Traffina Foundation launched new Clean Birth Kits On the 29th of March at Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja.
Yes, the concepts about TFCH kits are so unique because they are given out free to pregnant women in rural communities who cannot afford to pay for the cost of delivery. Secondly this initiative is targeted at getting the Nigerian people involved in the fight against maternal and child mortality. Many people outside the health sector are not aware of the number of deaths we account daily from preventable pregnancy and delivery complications, these people outside the health sector are not aware of the role they should play to reduce the death of our dear mothers in Nigeria. Traffina Foundation believes that Nigerians have the capacity to end most of the problem facing the country rather than relying on foreign donor to do everything for us, when we make some efforts , others who have higher capacity will surely step in to support us.
It’s so amazing that some companies are beginning to adopt the clean birth kit project as part of their CSR to support the health system and also to reduce the high maternal and child mortality rate in Nigeria. We brand names of companies who have supported us on the Clean Birth Kits
