Health education and quality Ante-natal care services are baseline towards helping mother and child survive during pregnancy and child birth.
Through health education we are able to clear misconceptions about pregnancy that helps abolish harmful cultural practices going on in various communities which are contributing to the high maternal and child mortality and morbidity rate in Nigeria.
During this forum the Traditional King of the community and his Chiefs were in attendance to give support to our work and encourage the women to adhere to the instructions.
Before the distribution of our free Delivery kits, we talked much about hospital delivery where the health care workers that are properly trained will supervise and as well conduct the delivery. With them, early complications will be identified with prompt referral to higher hospitals that can handle what ever the case may be.
